Kanatahkwèn:ke is a collaborative initiative bringing together four key partners, each contributing unique expertise, resources, and leadership to the vision of creating a vibrant cultural, educational, artistic, and community space.
Preserving and promoting Kanien’kehá:ka language and culture since 1978, KORLCC leads and inspires Kahnawa’kehró:non (people of Kahnawà:ke) to embrace, practice, and pass on the Kanien’kehá:ka language, beliefs, values, and traditions to future generations.
Providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that nurtures local talent, encourages artistic expression, and strengthens Kahnawà:ke’s performing arts community.
Promoting Kahnawà:ke as a destination for educational, cultural, and leisure tourism through authentic cultural experiences, tours, and community engagement.
Providing governmental, administrative, and executive leadership and services for the community of Kahnawà:ke while supporting initiatives that contribute to the community’s long-term growth and well-being.
United by a shared purpose — “Nurturing Kanien’kehá:ka language and culture within the community while sharing it with the wider world” — these partners have worked collectively to bring this multi-functional centre to life.
