Kahnawà:ke – February 16, 2026
Building committee are ecstatic to announce a historic achievement in its Capital Campaign for Kanatahkweń:ke, Kahnawà:ke’s new Cultural Center, Museum, and Theatre. Through the dedicated efforts and generous support of our community, neighbours, friends, and supporters, the Radiothon raised a remarkable total of more than $660,000. We are profoundly grateful for the partnership of our community radio station, K103.7 FM, for organizing and hosting the Radiothon in support of Kanatahkweń:ke.
This milestone not only demonstrates our community’s unwavering commitment to enriching the cultural landscape, but also marks an exciting step forward in bringing the vision of a vibrant new community space, museum, and theatre to life.
We wish to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this campaign, from individual donors to local organizations and businesses. Your generosity has allowed us to create a space where the arts, culture, and history will be celebrated and preserved for generations to come.
The Capital Campaign goal was set at $16 million out of the overall $55.7 million budget allocated for construction and major operations. These funds are critical to fully realize the ambitious vision of this state‑of‑the‑art facility, which will serve as a vibrant hub for cultural events, interactive programs, and theatrical performances.
Kanatahkweń:ke is a true testament of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with shared hope and determination.
